Computers for Schools - July 7th, 2010
Raven Recycling has had the contract to run Computers for Schools for a while now and it is getting back on it's feet again. Just like before, our Computers for Schools location can only handle computers directly from government offices. If you have a personal computer that won't sell, you can bring it up to the landfill where it will be placed on a pallet and shipped south for processing. Currently the fee for monitors is $12.00 and computer towers are $5.50. It may seem steep to some, but it's well worth the price to make sure the resources are used again instead of buried.
We have spent quite a bit of extra time this year trying to make the Recycling Club part of our website look a little better and easier to traverse. We hope this helps make answering your Recycling Club questions a little easier. Also, keep in mind that you can always call us here at Raven.

Recycling Club starts May 15th!
In an effort to facilitate the exchange of useful goods around the Yukon, Raven Recycling created "Raven's List" back in August of 2009. We have recently discovered that Kijiji.ca (a site mentioned almost as often as Google down south) now has built a portion of their amazing website to host Yukon resident items and services. It's not as colourful as Raven's List, but Kijiji has the resources to provide a spectacular service where people from across Canada can view what you have to offer. Since it's pointless to re-invent the wheel and Kijiji can provide a much better service, we are forwarding as much traffic there as we can in an effort to divert useful items away from the landfill.

It's been a while in the works, and we didn't finish on schedule, but it's finally finished! Raven Recycling Society has a brand new drop off area. This was needed as most clients realize because of how often the bins were overflowing. Now, this should not be as much of a danger. Please watch your step however. We have not yet filled in an area near the fence with a layer of cement to smooth things. The area is marked with signs to get your attention.
More information on how the recycling is specifically categorized can be found HERE.
Raven's List - August 27th, 2009

Raven Recycling has recently set up a material exchange network that we have dubbed "Raven's List". We primarily wanted to set this up as a method of reducing the amount of useful material that is placed in the landfill. The website operates much in the same as as classified ads with the significant exception in that the user can post pictures of the product, and be much more descriptive.
